Slogging away at work during the weekend...
we finally started our work officially during the weekend. they were long... and tough.
a quick shot on our first day before we set off!
we were all separated as they assigned us to different rides. it was so lonely because each and everyone of us were the only international associates at our rides. we hardly knew the people and the rest of them were all americans.
the hours were long and extremely tiring. the crowd and queue seemed never ending. part of my job was to check the restraints of the roller coaster. it was very tiring because i often had to pull up the restraints that were like so bloody tight. it requires a lot of energy that probably only guys can do them better. my whole body was aching after that la.
then the worst part came... it started raining on sunday afternoon. the temperature dropped rapidly to about 10 degrees celsius. it was BLOODY COLD la. and all i was in was a shirt underneath my polo tee... and their windbreaker that was as thin as plastic and was neither waterproof nor was it able to keep people warm. i was in shorts la... and it kept raining that my shoes were all SOAKED. i still had to continue working and the people didn't even bother to ask if i could stand the cold lor. maybe they could do so better.. but for me (or us) who come from a tropical country like singapore... 10 degrees in a polo tee and shorts is no fun lor. i was practically shivering and couldn't wait for work to end. it was horrid. cold and hungry. i wonder where human welfare went..??
after work, we finally met at the changing room.. all cold, wet and hungry!
FREAKING COLD LA!!!
when we reached the hotel.. it was so cold that the air we breathed out condensed into water vapour immediately. (like the kind you see in korean shows you know, except it's not that extreme.) haha we were so amused by it that we decided to try taking pictures...
it's not that obvious but you can see some kinda cloud out there... haha it just shows the water vapour and to emphasize how cold we really were la.
we were all shagged la.. but it felt really good to be back in the hotel.. with the heat and all. i've never felt so cold in my life before la. i mean, cold is okay... when you are properly attired. when you are not... it is seriously NOT FUN lor. luckily didn't fall sick after that. hehe.
