LOOOOOooooonnnnnngggg plane trip to New York then richmond!
i finally left singapore to head for US. the process of leaving was much tougher than i thought... and i must admit that i'm pretty homesick. anyway... the long flights were extremely tough and ardurous... they are the kinda things you really would try to avoid doing in life man. anyway... first flight was at around 8am singapore time. it's an approximately 4 hour flight from changi to taipei!
and so we were all already on the plane... heading towards taiwan!
it's strange how whenever i ask for a window seat... they always put me near the wing which really pretty quite defeats the purpose of the window because half of my vision is normally covered by the - wing.
and then we reached taipei airport... this is a view that shows the airport outside.
for transferring we had to go to the next terminal..!
inside the transiting lounge... i'm in taiwan!!! ;p
then it came to the worst and most torturous 8.5 hours of flight to anchorage(there was a short stopover there plus entering US customs). it was really horrible cuz it was long and uncomfortable... there were noisy kids crying and screaming around... and there was NO PERSONAL TV for this flight... can you imagine??!!

sleep sleep sleep. what else can i do onboard??!! especially when i felt like puking most of the time lor.
and when we finally reached anchorage... the view was amazing from inside the airport!!! the snow capped mountains.. they were really fantastic!!! oh my gosh. so pretty. it doesn't show much from the picture... you really have to be there to see how spectacular it was. wow! *mountain tortoise*
anyhow, it took quite a while to clear the US customs but everything went smoothly and we were on our way to our 6.5 hours of flight to new york on the same plane! this time was much better cuz i believed we were all really tired and just slept most of our way through.
when we reached, it was already past 11pm le.. which was 11+am singapore time.. meaning... we took like 27 hours in all JUST TO REACH NEW YORK!!! oh my god.. like how disgusting long is that??!!! it was scheduled to be shorter... but because of some of the delays and stuff... ugh.
this was the bus that arrived at the new york JFK airport to bring us to the hotel so that we can continue with our transfer the next day.

after some rest... we went to the outside of the hotel to take some pictures... behind the mini bus!

it was like about 11 degrees when we were taking the pictures outside... so basically i was just jumping about with just my shirts and shorts. haha. anyway, we went back and slept at about 2am, then woke up at 4+ am to catch the 5am shuttle bus service to la guardia airport to catch our domestic flight to richmond! :)
the next morning... we boarded our flight to richmond. the terminal was like a budget terminal kinda thing... catering mainly to domestic flights only, unlike the JFK one that we were at last night.. which was for international flights.

anyway, the aircraft was like the smallest one i've ever boarded on to la! there were only 4 seats in a row, 2 on each side. this was even smaller than the jetstar one i took before last time!
then we finally reached richmond airport and took this groome transportation that costs us about US$10 each to get to our hotel.
finally! yuan has reached her temporary accomodation in a hotel called quality inn. time to go online and msn everyone back home!
staying along the west broad street of... VIRGINIA! :)
