2nd July 2006.. Williamsburg and Short Pump Trip

it was a common day off for 6 of us and we decided to rent a car to get around. williamsburg prime outlet store was our main destination (since it was inaccessible and troublesome to get to by other means of transport). we thought of going there one last time before we leave virginia. and then head towards short pump (a well known and popular mall in richmond area) after we were done with shopping.

posing in the car.. all ready to go! same driver and navigator again!

after driving for about an hour or so, we stopped by at a macdonalds near the prime outlet area for food!

the 6 of us posing together in Macs!

my macs deluxe breakfast! it's basically a normal big breakfast with 2 more hotcakes. YUMMY! it's good because singapore doesn't have such meals... good for people like me who wanna eat both hotcakes and big breakfast! haha.

posing with our food~!

then we headed towards the premium outlets!

after shopping... look at all the stuff we bought!

next we headed towards short pump and decided to stop at the car park to take momento pictures of the car which we rented.

the front view.

the back view.

and us posing with the car!

so then we went towards short pump food court to fill our stomachs!

our favourite stall... it was previously mentioned in my blog before!

posing with our food again.

in front of abercrombie and fitch shop. their stuff are probably the most expensives ones amongst the american brands.

shots of short pump shopping mall...

their shops are built horizontally across.. not vertically up in singapore and other city areas. they have too much land to spare.

funny cheeky pose. haha.

short pump town center.

zoomed in!

then we headed towards... THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY!!

they have like the best cheesecakes in the world i've ever tasted!! and i thought new york cheesecakes should be from... NY?? i didn't see any fantastic ones there.

then we headed towards.. my favourite WALMART!!! cuz all the shops started closing and walmart was the only one that operated 24 hours. i didn't realize at that point of time that that was the last time i was at walmart (for this trip)... sobs! of cuz, unless i come back to US again next time...

mingshun using their self check counter... it's cool cuz u get to scan and pay for your items yourself.

just follow the instructions on the screen! one more reason why i love walmart! it never fails to amaze me.

after walmart.. we headed for krispy kreme drive thru! their donut menu!

in the car with our box of original glazed krispy kreme! I MISS KRISPY KREME!!!

then we headed towards Exxonmobil.. the number 1 company on Fortune 500 list as being the largest company in US. it kicked walmart off from number 1 because their revenue increased due to increasing oil prices. (I read it from "the wal mart effect" book that i borrowed from the library. lol.)

it states how much their gasoline cost... these prices are according to per gallon... not sure how many litres that is.

does this look like the petrol stations in singapore? they are all self service! i learnt how to pump petrol in US! i never knew how to in singapore. lol.

then we stopped by at a drive thru wachovia ATM machine to withdraw some cash... and i guess they didn't had enough stock of cash inside.. this screen came out halfway before all of us finished withdrawing! haha it was pretty funny. i guess it wasn't out of order.. they just didn't had enough cash.

and a last shot of our boot at the end of the day.

finally.. back at VCU! us with all our shopping bags! haha. satisfying day! ;) if only all off days could be spent like this.
